Three Major Critical Thoughts on Durkheim's Theory

1.  Durkheim is guilty of circular thinking -  His logic states that society must function to maintain consensus, but also states that consensus causes society to function.  There need to be other factors and causes in there somewhere.

2.  Durkheim forgets the importance of the individual.  His theory completely leaves out ideas like personal choice and small interaction.

3.  Durkheim forgets that things are not perfect, he does not talk enough about conflict.  Our history on this earth is filled with war, which is a clear indicator of a lack of consensus.
